Taula de continguts

Bon any a tothom. Em sento responsable del format de la taula de continguts per Viccionari:La taverna/2008#Taula de continguts que va acabar amb la plantilla {{tdc}}. Veig que en francès han adoptat una solució millor fent una taula horitzontal més que vertical, amb una línia per cada secció de llengua. Compareu en:ou (taula per defecte), fr:ou (taula horitzontal) i ou (taula actual a la dreta). He provat la taula francesa al meu vector.css que quedaria més o menys com aquesta simulació. Avantatges: evitem l'ús de la plantilla tdc complint el propòsit de no tenir una taula ocupant excessiu espai vertical. Com ho veieu? --Vriullop 13:53, 1 gen 2012 (CET)

Bon any :) ! És una excel·lent forma d'organitzar la taula de continguts. Quan hi ha moltes seccions i ocupen més o menys el mateix que el contingut en sí, la taula pot resultar una mica molesta (per exemple, Barcelona). Però en l'exemple que ens poses veig la pàgina retallada per la dreta, és a dir, no ocupa tota l'amplada (en canvi les categories sí); no podria aprofitar-se tota l'amplada? -Aleator 15:56, 1 gen 2012 (CET)

Bon any. La teva versió Vriullop m'agrada més que la francesa, marcar jerarquies amb la mida de la lletra ho deixa tot més clar. Pel que fa a les categories de final de pàgina, és un pel complicat usar-les quan estan totes apilades, no es podria arreglar assignar-les exclusivament a cada accepció? Si, no m'he explicat massa bé. Volia dir posar les categories en la mateixa línia de les accepcions, però just abans, com passa en el cas del Viccionari gallec, per exemple en el mot casa, que diu entre parèntesi "Arquitectura", o bé, "Xogo e xoguete". En el Viccionari anglès passa una cosa diferent, per exemple en word en les accepcions 14, 15 i 16 i 18 on posa "computing", "computer science", "group theory" i d'altres, però enllacen amb definicions, no amb categories pròpiament. En tot cas, quan s'acumulen les categories a baix de la pàgina de vegades costa molt associar la categoria amb l'accepció. Per exemple, en català si posa "arcaic", a que es refereix, a tota l'entrada? Sovint no, només a alguna de les accepcions, com és el cas de car. Suposo que ara per ara és impossible eliminar les categories a la part inferior, però si podem contextualitzar-les posant-les davant de l'accepció que correspon. Sí, una cosa semblant vaig proposar quan era jove :) (Viccionari:La_taverna/2006#Categories_des_de_plantilla) però va quedar en no res. A mi m'agrada i trobo útil això de precedir l'accepció amb una categoria (especialment quan porta a confusió), com diu Maltrobat. Respecte al que proposa Vriullop, si no hi ha opinions en contrari ho modificaria en uns dies, posem per exemple el 15 de gener? -Aleator 17:45, 7 gen 2012 (CET)

Ja veig, Aleator, és interessant veure aquestes propostes anteriors i contrastar-les amb la situació actual o amb el que jo em penso. El meu ideal seria unes accepcions molt compactes amb una descripció abreujada que ni tan sols es veiessin les traduccions i un botó per a desplegar-les una per una i mostrar tota la informació tan completa com fos possible. Això permetria al lector concentrar-se en buscar el que vol i, seguit, si li falta informació, només desplegar allò que li interessa. Les categories a l'inici de l'accepció tenen l'avantatge de que permeten fer-la més abreujada i ajudaria a aquest ideal. Per exemple si diu: "Nautica", ens estalviem la forma "En la navegació... ". Announcing Wikipedia 1.19 beta

Wikimedia Foundation is getting ready to push out 1.19 to all the WMF-hosted wikis. As we finish wrapping up our code review, you can test the new version right now on beta.wmflabs.org. For more information, please read the release notes or the start of the final announcement.

The following are the areas that you will probably be most interested in:

• Faster loading of javascript files makes dependency tracking more important.
• New common*.css files usable by skins instead of having to copy piles of generic styles from MonoBook or Vector's css.
• The default user signature now contains a talk link in addition to the user link.
• Searching blocked usernames in block log is now clearer.
• Better timezone recognition in user preferences.
• Improved diff readability for colorblind people.
• The interwiki links table can now be accessed also when the interwiki cache is used (used in the API and the Interwiki extension).
• More gender support (for instance in logs and user lists).
• Language converter improved, e.g. it now works depending on the page content language.
• Time and number-formatting magic words also now depend on the page content language.
• Bidirectional support further improved after 1.18.

Report any problems on the labs beta wiki and we'll work to address them before they software is released to the production wikis.

A l'entrada "dit", es fa referència a l'estructura anatòmica i a la unitat de mesura. Malgrat això, quan es relacionen els sinònims, hi surt "citat, esmentat, mencionat", que no són sinònims de l'estructura anatòmica, ja que són sinònims del participi del verb "dir". Com que és la meva primera incursió al Viccionari, prefereixo consultar abans de tocar res. Si algú més expert pot adobar-ho, seguiré el procés. Cal fer una entrada nova pel participi, amb els seus sinònims, o cal fer una tercera accepció especificant que és una forma verbal?. Si és així, cal separar els sinònims en funció de l'accepció a que fan referència? Suggeriment de plantilla per a les importacions

Bona col·lecció de plantilles! Jo pensava amb una plantilla nova, una cosa així "deViquipèdia" que informés que és un esborrany amb format indefinit i a més permetria estar al cas d'allò més urgent de millorar el format. Verbs pronominals

Que fer amb els verbs pronominals, abacallanar(-se) per exemple. En el castellà i en l'[anglès http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pararse] (per mots castellans) els hi fan una entrada pròpia. Aquí n'hi ha algunes de pròpies i no hi ha plantilla, per la qual cosa hi ha diversos formats per expressar el mateix. Proposo fer una plantilla i crear entrades pròpies. Ja existeix abacallanar-se. En el seu moment vaig posar tota la informació dels verbs en l'infinitiu pelat i deixant la forma pronominal com una forma verbal. Alguns verbs només tenen forma pronominal i d'altres poden tenir alguna accepció residual o històrica no pronominal. No sé si queda prou clar, però vaig trobar que és una complicació fer la conjugació pronominal o separar les diferents accepcions pronominals o no. --Vriullop (discussió) 09:58, 18 maig 2012 (CEST)

Molt bé! Ja hi ha els pronominals "apartats" en una llista pròpia i tots duplicats en la seva forma + "-se". Que tal una mena de plantilla davant de cada accepció pronominal? Crear una plantilla "Plantilla:-pron-" o bé "pron." o "-pron.-" per tal d'evitar de posar (''pron.'').--Santi Gomà (discussió) 19:29, 18 maig 2012 (CEST)

He fet el mateix amb "trans." (transitiu). Un exemple es troba en abadanar. També he passat l'indicatiu de l'entrada com a verb a l'accepció, ja que sovint passa que algunes accepcions són transitives i d'altres no.--Santi Gomà (discussió) 11:01, 20 maig 2012 (CEST)

Afegeixo també la plantilla "intrans." per les accepcions intransitives dels verbs.

• El perquè del nom: Tot i que el punt és innecessari perquè no hi ha ambigüitats, crec que és recomanable per tal de seguir la mateixa línia que el seu element complementari "trans." (per les accepcions transitives dels verbs).
• El perquè de la plantilla: El DIEC explicita quines accepcions són intransitives amb la seva pròpia abreviació. El diccionari de la Gran Enciclopèdia no, ja que ho expressa explícitament: tot el que no és transitiu és intransitiu. Aquí, però, no passa així ja que hi ha un tercer valor: transitiu, intransitiu i pendent de documentar. Si no volem confondre l'intransitiu amb el pendent de documentar és fa imprescindible explicitar l'intransitiu.

Update on IPv6

The Wikimedia Foundation is planning to do limited testing of IPv6 on June 2-3. If there are not too many problems, we may fully enable IPv6 on World IPv6 day (June 6), and keep it enabled.

What this means for your project:

• At least on June 2-3, 2012, you may see a small number of edits from IPv6 addresses, which are in the form "2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334". See e.g. w:en:IPv6 address. These addresses should behave like any other IP address: You can leave messages on their talk pages; you can track their contributions; you can block them. (See the full version of this announcement for notes on range blocks.)

• In the mid term, some user scripts and tools will need to be adapted for IPv6.

• We suspect that IPv6 usage is going to be very low initially, meaning that abuse should be manageable, and we will assist in the monitoring of the situation.

Mobile view as default view coming soon

Doncs caldrà configurar la portada per a mòbils. Vegeu Portada i l'enllaç al peu "Versió per a mòbils". Ara està buida. Altres exemples: http://en.m.wiktionary.org/, http://fr.m.wiktionary.org/, http://es.m.wiktionary.org/. Es tracta de seleccionar amb uns div una part de la portada actual. Si, suposo que amb això bastarà. Si ningú veu objeccions, ho canviaria abans del 21 de juny.

També veig que les entrades amb accepcions només en català no es veuen. Per exemple http://ca.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/lleó (l'apartat "Referències" és desplegable si es fa un clic al costat). En canvi, quan hi ha més d'una secció d'idioma el clic també desplega la secció corresponent (com http://ca.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/sol excepte la primera, casualment del català). També passa a la primera secció de http://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/sol però no passa a cap en http://fr.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/sol però sí a la primera secció de http://fr.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/gospel . Està fallant sempre en la primera secció, a http://fr.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/sol també, que no és "Français" sinó "Conventions internationales". Veig que és un problema general, a la Viquipèdia també, encara que allà la interfície és diferent, segurament la que s'activarà properament. Un segon problema són els enllaços en els encapçalaments. A banda de la primera secció, en desplegar una altra secció immediatament segueix l'enllaç. Un tercer problema és que la interfície està pensada per l'estructura de la Viquipèdia, mostrant la introducció amb totes les seccions plegades. Aquí no tenim introducció i seria millor desplegar sempre la primera, tal com fa si només n'hi ha una. Plantilles amb noms traduïts

Estava pensant passar el bot per netejar la plantilla {{tdc}} on ja no fa res. Per ser més efectiu, aprofitaré per canviar algunes plantilles que han estat traduïdes i ara són redireccions: top->inici, mid, bottom, trans->trad, syn->sin, etym->etim. Ho he netejat només on hi havia plantilles a traduir, uns 10.000 canvis. Encara queden unes 15.000 pàgines on hi ha la plantilla tdc, però ho deixo de moment pendent per si surt alguna cosa per fer alhora. --Vriullop (discussió) 18:49, 1 ago 2012 (CEST)

Fonts amb (c) expirat

Rebuscant per google books he trobat un diccionari del 1864 en català prefabrià d'un tal Pere Labernia. Deixo els enllaços als dos volums Vol. I i Vol. II. Tenim una de molt semblant per al diccionari d'en Pere Labernia :) {{R:DLCCCL 1840}} i d'altres autors ({{R:CCLFI 1839}}, {{R:DMC 1840}}...). Sobre el bot i la importació, hi ha les dificultat de la qualitat de l'OCR i de la modernització del català en què estan escrits (són del segle XIX!). Es va suggerir de fer això que dius en cooperació amb Viquitexts, però la cosa està molt aturada (vg. s:Pàgina:Diccionari Catalá-Castellá-Llatí-Frances-Italiá. As many of you are aware, the Wikimedia Board of Trustees recently initiated important changes in the way that money is being distributed within the Wikimedia movement. As part of this, a new community-led "Funds Dissemination Committee" (FDC) is currently being set up. Already in 2012-13, its recommendations will guide the decisions about the distribution of over 10 million US dollars among the Foundation, chapters and other eligible entities.

Now, seven capable, knowledgeable and trustworthy community members are sought to volunteer on the initial Funds Dissemination Committee. It is expected to take up its work in September. In addition, a community member is sought to be the Ombudsperson for the FDC process. If you are interested in joining the committee, read the call for volunteers. Nominations are planned to close on August 15.

Wikidata is getting close to a first roll-out

As some of you might already have heard Wikimedia Deutschland is working on a new Wikimedia project. It is called m:Wikidata. The goal of Wikidata is to become a central data repository for the Wikipedias, its sister projects and the world. In the future it will hold data like the number of inhabitants of a country, the date of birth of a famous person or the length of a river. These can then be used in all Wikimedia projects and outside of them.

The project is divided into three phases and "we are getting close to roll-out the first phase". The phases are:

1. language links in the Wikipedias (making it possible to store the links between the language editions of an article just once in Wikidata instead of in each linked article)
2. infoboxes (making it possible to store the data that is currently in infoboxes in one central place and share the data)
3. lists (making it possible to create lists and similar things based on queries to Wikidata so they update automatically when new data is added or modified)

It'd be great if you could join us, test the demo version, provide feedback and take part in the development of Wikidata. You can find all the relevant information including an FAQ and sign-up links for our on-wiki newsletter on the Wikidata page on Meta.

Fundraising localization: volunteers from outside the USA needed

Hello All,

The Wikimedia Foundation's Fundraising team have begun our 'User Experience' project, with the goal of understanding the donation experience in different countries outside the USA and enhancing the localization of our donation pages. I am searching for volunteers to spend 30 minutes on a Skype chat with me, reviewing their own country's donation pages. It will be done on a 'usability' format (I will ask you to read the text and go through the donation flow) and will be asking your feedback in the meanwhile.

The only pre-requisite is for the volunteer to actually live in the country and to have access to at least one donation method that we offer for that country (mainly credit/debit card, but also real-time banking like IDEAL, E-wallets, etc...) so we can do a live test and see if the donation goes through. All volunteers will be reimbursed of the donations that eventually succeed (and they will be low amounts, like 1-2 dollars)
